Trubble Club is debuting two issues. Who knows what is contained within. Duplicating Santas? Ducks with god given hotdog rights? Smudges? Sludges? Grudges? Belches? Tons of two color risograph printed nonsense, perfect for your bathroom or pantry.

Also all contributors for the Infinite Corpse corpsey.trubbleclub.com will be given a sweet button, and Trubble Club will be taking submissions right there at their table! So pull up a chair, grab some silverwear and dig in! Yum!

Trubble Club rendezvous in secret each week. We’ll will be 5 years old on August 3rd, 2013. Come by the table to wish us an early happy birthday and pick up a copy of TC6.

Ed Luce is the San Francisco-based creator of Wuvable Oaf, an Ignatz nominated series of comics, records and other schwag. Ed has also contributed work to the infamous Henry & Glenn Forever series. Under the Goteblud Comics imprint, Ed will be featuring his own work, along with LA collective Igloo Tornado (H&G4ever), CV Comics (Satan Is Alive: A Tribute To Mercyful Fate) and others.

Box Brown is a cartoonist, illustrator and comic publisher from Philadelphia. He started Retrofit Comics in 2011. His comics and illustrations have appeared in Mad Magazine, Wired.com and OC Weekly. He’s currently working on a biography of Andre the Giant for First Second.

Josh Bayer

Josh Bayer is a Cartoonist/Artist/illustrator living in Harlem, NY. He began publishing his comics in 1988. Since then, he has collaborated with Raymond Pettibon, been listed in Best American Comics, and been rejected by The Yes Men’s Fake NY Times project. He is an advisor at the Sequential Art Workshop and a teacher in schools all over New York.

Mita Mahato will be debuting her new cut-paper comic, Roots at CAKE! Here are the first few pages!

Mita Mahato

Mita Mahato lives in rainy Seattle where she makes comics about grief, cats, and aliens using primarily collage technique. She likes cutting up pieces of paper and fixing them to other pieces of paper—watching a story take shape without using a single drop of ink (though she likes ink, too). In addition to self-publishing her own strips, she collaborates with MK Czerwiec on Ivy, a zine about comics people making life. Mita teaches in the English Department at the University of Puget Sound.

CAKE DEBUT: Collective Tarot Card Deck from Annie Murphy

Annie Murphy will have the collaboratively produced Collective Tarot deck for sale at C.A.K.E. for its Chicago debut. This is the Third printing of this deck and it’s going fast! But you have yr pick of the dozen or so decks Annie hoarded especially for CAKE. And she will be offering sliding scale card readings over the course of the convention. There will be posters of some of yr favorite cards available for purchase and for good fortune.

Annie Murphy is an armchair historian, anarchivist, and paranormal enthusiast. Annie created the Xeric-winning I Still Live: Biography of a Spiritualist, edited the Ignatz Award-nominated Gay Genius comics anthology published by Sparkplug Books, and helped create the Collective Tarot: a queer, feminist Tarot deck. Annie’s comics have appeared in the Women’s Review of Books, No Straight Lines: Four Decades of Queer Comics(Fantagraphics), When Language Runs Dry: a zine for people with chronic pain and their allies, and other such publications.

CAKE DEBUT: Last Mountain #1 by Dakota McFadzean

Dakota McFadzean

Dakota McFadzean grew up in Saskatchewan, but has also lived in Montreal and Vermont. His work has appeared in numerous anthologies, minicomics, galleries and magazines. He is the author of “Ghost Rabbit”, which won a Gene Day Award for Self Publishers at the 2012 Joe Shuster Awards, and “Leave Luck to Heaven”, which was included in The Best American Comics 2012. Dakota holds an MFA from The Center for Cartoon Studies, draws a comic strip every day, and currently lives in Montreal. A collection of his short stories is scheduled to be released by Conundrum Press for Fall 2013.

CAKE Debut: Pangs by MK Reed & Farel Dalrymple from Tugboat Press

PANGS is a unique hybrid comic/set of prints from writer MK Reed, artist Farel Dalrymple and publisher Tugboat Press. Set in the mythical world of ancient Ireland, it is a retelling of the famous legend Tain Bo Cuailnge, where drunken boasting and royal privilege results in a magical curse that lasts generations. Painted in lush watercolors and printed on thick matte stock, PANGS is both a readable comic book and a frameable set of seven prints.

Tugboat Press is a micro-publisher from Portland, Oregon. We best know for the anthology comics Papercutter and Runner Runner. We also publish the annual split zine Invincible Summer/Clutch.
