CAKE 2023 Dates and New Venue Announcement

After hunkering down for a few years, Chicago’s largest alternative comics festival is back! Chicago Alternative Comics Expo (CAKE) 2023 is officially on the books for June 3 & 4 at a new, larger venue in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood. We have missed putting on the show something fierce, and we are thrilled to formally welcome everyone to celebrate.

What: CAKE 2023

When: Saturday June 3 & Sunday Jun 4, 2023

Where: Broadway Armory, 5917 N Broadway, Chicago, IL (right off the Thorndale Red Line stop)

In order to best protect yourself and others, please get vaccinated if you can and read our statement on masks and other COVID precautions here.

As mentioned above, CAKE 2023 will be taking place in a new venue. At the Broadway Armory, we have more space available to us, so we are going to try our best to give everyone some extra elbow room and spread the tables out a bit more than in previous years. We are also still deciding on how many exhibitors to have in total, but the goal is to keep the space as safe as reasonably possible for you and for the guests.

The organizers are sticking with our original plan of keeping our juried list of CAKE 2020 exhibitors. If you were accepted into CAKE 2020, be sure to keep an eye on your email!
